The World Retail Congress

RANDEM - Do Better 1 April 2016

April is upon us, and so too is one of the industries most important and prestigious events: The World Retail Congress (WRC). Scheduled to take place in Dubai, the event will run from 12-14 April, and will embrace the theme 'attracting and engaging with tomorrow's consumers'. In attendance will be some of the world's leading retail figureheads, and RANDEM will be among them.

The WRC represents an unrivalled opportunity for major retailers across the world to network and innovate upon the transforming atmosphere of the retail environment, and - in a disrupted and aggressive age - discuss how it is best to connect with tomorrow's customers.

In line with the theme, the event similarly embraces the future of retail.

Hosted at the Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, the 10th edition of the WRCsymbolises the significance of transformation, as this is the first time the WRChas been held outside of Europe. Dubai has quickly established itself as an international retail hub, and is a fitting location that embodies the challenge and evolution of the face of modern retail.

Along with RANDEM, a number of leading and innovating businesses have been welcomed to discuss the major issues and trends affecting the industry. Incorporated in this is a specialized thought leadership dinner that RANDEM will be hosting, in conjunction with our partner, Demandware. Key EMEA retail executives and regional industry experts from the International Digital Commerce Market will join us to discuss the changing face of retail in 2016. Key topics in the agenda include:

  • The challenges facing Omni-channel customers
  • Localising online business to adapt to relevant markets and culture

RANDEM will be accompanied by senior representatives from both international and regional markets, including:

  • Majid Al Futtaim
  • Apparel Group
  • BMW
  • ALDO
  • Landmark Group
  • Axiom Telecom

Be sure to check back regularly. As well as being in attendance, RANDEM will update this channel with comprehensive coverage of the WRC, including feature articles on key figures attending and hosting the WRC, news, and post event reviews.
